Whoops Gotta Clarify My Last Post by Lizzie

Whoops, I think some thought I was killing Lizzie.  I am absolutely not killing her and will continue to log in as Lizzie occasionally.  She will still get IM’s, still get notecards etc, etc.  I am just moving forward into a new character that will be doing something completely different.  Actually this new character has already accumulated a nice healthy inventory of 3000 in less than 30 days, WEEEEEEEEEE!  So because of my new found interest in another aspect of SL and also because I am intentionally limiting my time in SL, Lizzie will go quiet.  I am sure some thought this was another “dramatic Lizzie exit” but sorry folks it is not – you ain’t rid of the real me yet!  I just felt like declaring an end to the Adventures of Lizzie and her blog.  Hey, LOST did it so why not me, LOL, and no I am not yet delusional enough to think I am as important in SL as LOST!  There was no DRAMZZZZ nothing like that.  I am simply bored with mainstream fashion and a bit annoyed with how SERIOUS people are about it (insert eye roll here).  So send me an IM if you would like – I will get offlines and will be more than happy to reply.  Hugs.

Ending Where I Began….

This too shall pass (Persian:این نیز بگذرد, een niz bogzarad, Hebrew: גם זה יעבור, gam zeh yaavor, Turkish: Bu da geçer) is a proverb indicating that all material conditions, positive or negative, are temporary.

My interest in Lizzie has sadly wained and I am moving on to something new.  My good friend in RL and SL Dane Koba wisely said to me last night “At some point you hit a wall with SL.  At that point you take what good you have found in SL with you and never regret the choices you made.”  “As Lizzie,” he said, “You have hit that wall.”  Dane has utilized SL as a springboard to a new career and I have found wonderful friends as Lizzie.  Even though Lizzie is going dormant, Elizabeth and her place in SL has not. I found a lot of joy in the mainstream fashion community but for me it’s a market that is now over saturated with bloggers and feeds and more bloggers and more feeds and drama and too much people pleasing for my comfort level.

I am like a bull in a china shop here, LOL, and I need to move into a culture in SL that I feel more commonality with in spirit and with the people – maybe back to music perhaps?????  Contrary to some people’s ideas about me I have grown a bit uncomfortable with the attention I have garnered, pretty much because of my own words and actions LOL but none the less I am done with it.  But doesn’t the beauty of SL lie in the ability to create something new and completely different?  Really you can be anything you want here, SLebrity is easy to come by along with anonymity.  I know many people do not like to hear what I have to say but I have tried my best to be as authentic and true to myself as I can.  And yes, that can make some uncomfortable particularly when this really is a “second life” for them.

I kind of like the idea of keeping Lizzie where she is and moving forward with someone else – someone a bit quieter and more to herself.  What will I be doing?  Well, for now not much, ha, but I’ll be around and those who are near to me will know exactly where to find me.  Hugs.

Lizzie and Co Are On A Blogging Hiatus

By Lizzie Lexington, July 9, 2010 9:21 am

I’m on a blogging hiatus for probably around 30 days.  There is no drama, LOL, just busy.  First off I will be traveling for work most of next week and then I have RL plans for when I return.  Also, I have kind of struck up an interest in Role Playing in SL and kind want to see how that goes.  Picture taking for me takes time and oddly, I am a perfectionist in the way I want my photos to turn out.  And for me sometimes it becomes more like a job than a hobby.  So between RL and my RP interest, I’ve decided to take a little break from blogging.  I want to play for a bit to be honest and discover the fun in SL again.  More than likely I will return sooner than expected but with my track history of drama I just didn’t want my blog to go silent without an explanation, ha.  Be Back Soon!

Lizzie and the DJ – State of the Art Mini Hunt and Launch Party

By Lizzie Lexington, July 6, 2010 10:41 am

My friend Mantis Oh AKA Cari Lekebusch just premiered a new build for his upcoming launch parties for his album State of the Art.  Mantis has been an active member in Sl for over 3 years now and has a brand called Hybrid Productions. He is also an accomplished electronic music artist and runs his own recording label also called Hybrid Productions.   Cari’s vision in SL was translated in prims by Hern Worsley of AVZ who was also the builder for Poetik along with Morgan Kincess of Digital Eyes who helped create the in world concept. I am hoping to spread the word about the sim because it will only be open for through the last party on the 11th and plus, Cari AKA Mantis is a great guy.

I describe the build as Gothic Ethereal Delight with a touch of macabre and zombieism as you can see in the pics above and below.

It is very Ethereal in feel but certainly not a place of heavenly delights!

The build appeals to the dark side in all of us that at the same time can be simply beautiful

That’s my friend Claude Fizz in the background and she simply looks smashing!

And oh the path throughout the build is Golden not Yellow (inside joke).  So please drop by the sim, take some pics and enjoy the build.  Oh and there is a little hunt going on as well- look for white hand drawn owls or spiders or lions.

Here is a bit about the event:

There will be two launch parties – one on July 9th at 1SLT and July 11th at 1 SLT. I will be one of the hosts on July 11th.  Here is the “official info” about the party:
